Our award-winning chefs work closely with registered dietitians to ensure that each ingredient is appropriate based upon the health condition for which that meal is being made.

Chef2Home’s tailored-healthy suite of menus includes Low Sodium; Heart Healthy; Renal Friendly; Diabetes Friendly; Vegetarian; Puree; as well as General Wellness options, all of which are designed by our registered dietitians and created by our chefs.
Our meals are often covered by federal or state health plans or programs (such as the Older Americans Act and State Medicaid for home and community-based services), but our affordable quality food can also be purchased directly by customers seeking delicious general wellness or health condition-specific cuisine.
Chef2Home’s state-of-the-art Sarasota Culinary Center is USDA-approved and certified to meet or exceed all government health and regulatory requirements, with the highest standards of food and operational safety integrated into everything we do.
Our turnkey culinary programs follow Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines in the flow of food preparation and delivery, and importantly our meals exceed Older Americans Act (OAA) menu standards.
Food sustainability is key for Chef2Home, which is why, in addition to integrated sustainability measures across our operations, we are proud to be included in the Hungry Harvest Partnership that is committed to a waste-free future.

It is everything to us that we started as a family-run company with proven, experienced management and field support teams that care about customers as if they were part of our family.
Metz was founded in 1994 to meet the dining needs of hospitals, long-term care facilities, colleges and universities, K-12 public and private schools, and corporate clients. In 1996, we expanded into frozen, hot, and shelf-stable meals for the senior community through home delivery and congregate settings, and recently began serving Medicare Advantage and Medicaid long-term care clients.
Last year we provided over 15 million healthcare and senior meals to hospital inpatients, long-term care facilities, and Area Agencies on Aging, both in congregate settings and delivered to the home.
