Chef Nello Allegrucci, CEC, AAC

Executive Chef, Chef2Home by Metz

Nello Allegrucci, CEC, AAC serves as the executive chef at the Metz Culinary & Catering Center in Sarasota, Florida. With more than 30+ years of experience in the hospitality industry, Nello’s experience includes both contract management and retail restaurant operations leadership roles. He has been a Metz team member for 15-years.

 In his role as the executive chef for our Culinary & Catering Center, Nello’s responsibilities include the production of all hot and cold food for all contracts both congregate and pre-plated frozen meals, along with all catering food functions and planning. He also oversees the purchasing of food, supplies, and equipment; and the scheduling and training of all kitchen staff. 

 Nello has been the recipient of many hospitality awards throughout his career, including the Regional Recognition Award from the American Culinary Federation, the President’s Special Recognition Award for outstanding efforts within The Professional Chefs of NEPA, and numerous Metz Culinary Management leadership awards. He is a member of The American Academy of Chefs and the Professional Chefs of NEPA. Nello previously served on the Penn State University Food Safety Advisory Board from 2009-2012.
